Firstly, I’d like to thank Andy for the clip, nice work and with well over 8000 views in 2-3 days peeps around the world must like it to forward it to their friends.
Fresh, thanks for the kind words and for sure there were loads of Welsh faces there, to be honest there were only a few missing which was a pity but understandable as it was Jaffa’s wedding.
Now to Slammo’scomments:- Yes we apply for funding to do what we do. We are not ashamed of it, to be honest we are proud that the funding we get helps put on such an inspiring event. This event is there to allow young people in Wales to have a goal, something to aim for. It also allows those young people to talk to and question real pioneers and legends and gain an insight to our culture. Hopefully they will continue and become bboys or bgirls themselves. If the likes of Aby, Trac2, Ness, Gabor, Papoluv, Second to None, Mouse, Blanka, Poe, etc. etc. doesn’t inspire the local scene thennothing will.
On the accusations around the expenses, you know that is just bullshit, but the truth is we are not the only ones receiving public money to put on events, Slam Jam, Breakin the Bay and Ya Don’t Stop all received Public funding, (remember the Arts Development officer in RCS who helps you also helped set up The Welsh Champs.)The only difference is that you get paid to do these events and your workshops etc. everyone at Bboy Wales is a volunteer and does it for free. Not so with Elemental Force you get paid, nothing wrong with that at all, until you start running a voluntary organisation down. It just shows that you are nothing if not Jealous.
Doing the most work, who gives a shit, as long as the work gets done. But a few facts might help your Narcissistic views. Point some out, Get Fresh Crew, great but your just doing your job taking public funding, not giving back at all, five 60 – again it’s your job. Urban Circle helps thousands of young people every week of the year. When we moved from the old shop to the new one question’s were asked in The Welsh Assembly on what they could do to help and how to encourage more organisations become like ours.
5 years ahead in youth development, your talking shit again. You run a business that charges youth development officers in local councils to provide workshops, we on the other hand provide young people with development opportunities. You see there’s the difference, we do it to help disadvantaged young people and not just through bboying but through a wide range of activities, we provide a drop in centre etc. and You do it for yourself financially and to raise your ego.
The people at Urban Circle and Bboy Wales are worth a thousand of you and every time you try to run them down it just exposes your over inflated ego. It’s not all about you, one day you might understand that you are just a small cog in a big machine, as are we all. When you understand this you might spend less time worrying about what we are doing and do something worthwhile yourself.
The true reason for Your Beef is that we didn’t want you to host again as every time you get drunk you run your mouth off to anyone you think will listen trying to put us down. When you did this at the Sandman gig at CAI it was the final straw. We have no Beef with you at all, we just don’t want to work with you. full stop -
