i guess as the "organiser" i have some sort of say in this. when i saw that floorcru were coming i was stoked because it mean t another crew wold be in attendance (i was getting really paranoid no one would show). the same goes for the few guys from monkey basket who siad they would come. i am not too bothered about the whole southwest\ non southwest thing as the event for me is more about meeting poeple and circles than the comp itself. i would like the event to be a jam with a comp rather than just a pure competeion. i think that we should let all who want to eneter eneter and try thier best and if poeple want a purely southwest competion then i am sure i can sort something out for after easter (and after my final year project is hanaded in).

hows that for a comporimise?

Robo, southampton boys will hopefully be coming down to break in the circles and to give the event some support. Just trying to sort travel out today.

Russell, I get your point about it being crap for SW crews if you have correctly inferred from Fuze's remarks. The fact is however that you are admonished if you haven't entered a comp strategically. No need to attack her.
I don't know about the standard of the best SW crew, if there aren't any feared SW crews then one could easily guess that entering the SW BoB might be a walkover.

This is gonna be a dope little Jam by the looks of things; 400 sq foot of hardboard! Jeez, you guys are pulling all the stops out! I remember that little hardboard square circle at HHH4. That was the hype.

Just to make it clear when I said:

"Tits. I didn't realise floor crusaders were south west... "

I didn't mean no crews better that us can enter. Though I guess I might have done if I thought I could get away with it, arf!

To be fair though I'm just as scared about competeing against crews with names like "apocalypse BLAU!" and "Husky Death Squad". Even "Toys 'r' Us" and "Safety First" would probably be raped by them... Mr Flanagan and I may have a secret weapon however....

Is there goiong to be anything to do after the jam.

IT would be good to go out somewhere (maybe even just the SU) with everyone who is still about afterwards.

Yo, how can I get there to/from exeter st davids? I may need to leave pretty smartish at the end... Its my girls birthday party that evening. I've already suggested she come with but, she's not playing that :( Would it be viable to cycle to the Uni from st davids?

(needs to be st davids, central is fucking useless for me traveling home at that time)

Thanks lads.

P.S secondary event: Krispy Vs Toast only one can leave with their hetrosexuality...

How toast could back to his girlfriend after the jam:

Put him in a sack and dump him in the boot of a car. If the car doesn't go back to Bath then he has a very believable excuse for not attending her party.

Get his girlfriend to attach a rope to his neck and drag him back whenever she feels like it (hopefully when he's throwing down).

Overload his body with a cornucopia of malt loaves and have him gas propel his way home.

Or...now I know this sounds crazy, but he could walk/run to St Davids and take a train.

The winners of the crew battle was: FloorCruSaders
With physical jerks from Bristol taking second

The winner of the solos battles was: bugs (FDC)
With kaz (exeter) taking second

Now for thanks....
First and foremost all those who came to the event, without you it would have been nothing.

Shouts to...
Rob (exeter) for sorting the floor
Krispy for rocking the mike (you did better than me)
Dan for knocking up the posters and timing the battles
Sam and amit (exeter uni) for sorting the room and PA and djing at the end
Bugs for getting sammy down
Sammy for judging
Rob (YML) for sorting out barry
Barry for judging
Gumbles for juding the crews
The floorcru guys who took barry’s place and stepped into judge when sammy couldn’t (russel and pole, i think)
Claire for getting in touch with Specifik and Project Cee
Specifick and project cee for playing the music for the battles
The security guard for being safe.
Orland (exeter uni) for helping with the risk assessment
Jim O’cConnel (exeter guild of students)., a nob but he gave us some cash to do the event
Exeter breaking society for giving money to put on the event
Anyone who watched the money box for me at some point
P from monkey basket for telling me to calm down.
Pete from engineering for letting me store the hardboard there

I think thats about it, but if i forgot you here i send out out all my thanks for what you did.

Just wanted to say thanks from HDS for the jam, it was good fun and had an excellent atmosphere. So thanks to Robo and everyone else involved for that.

Sorry that we left early and didn't get down in circles more, all three of us were totally wrecked and close to passing out from exhaustion and hunger by the time we left. It would have been nice to hang around after and go out with everyone, but people were leaving and the call of food and beds to sleep in was to hard to resist.

List of props time:

Floor Crusaders for killing it all day. Deserved winners. Gonna be hard to beat in the finals.

Bugs for winning the 1on1's. You should definitely do good in the finals.

Bristol for giving Floor Crusaders a good battle and qualifying for the finals.

Kaz for qualifying in the 1on1's. Now go and work hard and serve some fools at the finals!

YML for a good battle. You guys pulled some nice stuff and all three of us in HDS had a good time in that battle - couldn't have asked for more than that!

Sammy for being there and being Sammy. Good chatting to you son, shame you didn't do more dancing!

Fuze for your politeness. Its a shame we didn't get a chance to hang out with you more but like I say - exhaustion kills all plans.
The Exeter boys - good to see that you are all improving. Keep working and you guys'll be dope.

And finally just to everyone else who danced.

thanks
Simon
COTMB
Husky Death Squad
and a thousand other crew names.

edward you old soak.

we did go along, sans pig-under-the-arm but i didn't enter. it was all good fun. hope uni is treating you well and no doubt you'll be getting a bit 'tasty' what with all the free time in your hands.

CHIZIK REPRAZENT

ps i put my gratuitous "everyone's so fucking great" reply in the other thread, exeter was wicked. nice one everybody.
