Over the past six months there have been many changes behind the scene with regard to the B.B.A, and we feel now we have entered 2012 it's time to update everyone on what's been going on, what has changed, and the direction for future.

As many may be aware it was decided that at the start of 2011 credit 1 would take over the Chairman position from Bee, and steer B.B.A onwards down the direction and principles what the B.B.A was original started for. However in September unfortunately it was his decision that he needed time away from the Uk scene, and spend more time on family and home. Naturally we had to respect his wishes and thank him for his contribution towards the cause.
After giving much consideration and thinking what was best for the future of B.B.A, it was the decision of the committee to elect our previous Vice Chairman Badger to the position of Chairman.
Obviously much time has passed between now and then, and the reasons for not announcing this earlier was so we could give careful thought to future plans.

2011 as a whole was for us was a new direction for B.B.A in that we decided to start hosting our own events, to contribute to other events heldin the year. Despite the unfortunate turn of events with the proposed champs, we understand from the people who attend the other events last year were good, and brands hatch battle for many was held in high thoughts. Taking this into consideration we have included this In our future plans.

Over the the last 6-7 years the B.B.A main goal was to support our scene, to ensure that not only the big events, but also the smaller ones were assisted and helped promoted, organised and assisting where ever we could (judges, contacts, funding). In addition to this we wanted to ensure that we could offer work to bboys/girls when recieved, ensuring they got a fair respectable pay, and not be under valued. We felt for too long that we weren't being respected to the same standard of other types of dancers, and often being offered wages much lower than what you was worth. Above all of this we wanted to unite the scene, and try to help assist create a better scene.

Although much of what has just been said has been said before, what many did not realise is that the bigger intention was to hopefully one day branch out and create other association's internationally. We appreciate that although we have been the British Bboy Association, its been difficult to really offer support to jams, and comps been held in Scotland, Wales and Ireland, because really we were all based in the Uk.

So...

Over the past 6 months we have been putting in place other associations and so far within the united kingdom have established the Scottish bboy association. In addition to this we have also put in place the USA Bboy association. Committees have been organised and at this present time would like to announce the two new chairmans

We felt both of these guys we the right people to lead up the associations in their given countries, and have people in place to start committees.

With these two new additions the British Bboy association, along with Scottish and USA will all become part of the "B.BOY.ASSOCIATION". By putting these in place will mean they will be better equipped to know what's going on in their scene, and be able to support more jams. Other countries are being put in place, but taking longer to ensure the right people are put in place.

There is still a lot of sorting to do, and web page is being re designed, and Facebook pages being finalised.

I wanna take this opportunity to thank all the heads In the UK, Wales, Scotland and Ireland for continuing to do their bit to help the scene, and hope we can offer our assistance to the cause were ever we can. Thanks to all that have believed in the reason for the B.B.A and supporting us in assisting others to better the scene, and for the guys who supported our events last year.
