Yo just a quick post that I noticed that people are putting themselves on battle list for jams but don't turn up, like 50% don't show!

Regional conflict like 30+ crews online signed up but 16 turned up! Hipopsession uk qualifier in Leeds 32 crews and extra reserve space and struggled to get 16 on the day!

Sort it out people!

No one in their right mind is gona travel across the country not too battle. If you take up a spot don't waste it coz it puts other people off traveling to the jam if lists are full. Just makes jams empty coz there are loads a no shows, and others who could have gone don't travel to replace those spots so jams end up with dead vibe.

Peace

YUH! Its been happening all to often recently. This weekend with the hipopsession qualifier being a good example. Good thing it didnt ruin the jam and the vibes where good. But even in the solo there were FIVE spots left to fill lol. What the hell is giong on?

Even if you can't go, at least let the organisers known in plenty of time so it can clear space for 1 more participant.

True Gabs, very true.

It really got on my nerves at Just Jam when loads of people registered and half didn't turn up when the jam was sold out and my friends from Leeds couldn't come (I understand that wasn't BTC's fault, it was due to restrictions with the venue).

Anyway, it's also down to the organiser/promoter to make sure everyone can battle on the day. We all know that some eboys register and then give it a miss. SO IF YOU ORGANISE JAMS, MAKE SURE THE INTERNET PRE REGISTRATION ISN'T DEFINITE! It's a good way to hype up your jam on the net but registrations on the day make everything so simple!
Let's do this!

Someone should make a black list of people who sign up and don't turn up without notifying the organisers in advance...

like the idea of a black list would need to be well organised with Bboys having the chance to get thier names off the list by attending when they say they will.

good topic, i dont organise jams but this is something that really annoys me. fair enough things can come up and mean u arent able to go to a jam anymore but how hard is it to message the organiser to let them know! its just manners. u messaged them in the first place to put u down so its so easy to ask them to take u off and also means the jam can run better as ppl arent waitin an hour or 2 for ppl to show up and they never come. i think a blacklist is a good idea but dunno how u would police it etc. i think ppl should just name and shame on here and/or on facebook like on the event page just write a list sayin 'thanks x y and z for not comin to this jam or letting us know'.......

21 2vs2 teams signed up for Dirty Feet Windsor and we had 3 bboys from UK turn up (thats 3 bboys in total, not 3 2vs2 teams) the rest were Italians, Germans and Slovenian.

Still a fun night though with some crazy battles and great vibez!

I was going to go to Just Jam but could only get on reserve list so didnt have the money to risk driving 6 hours (each way) to maybe not even battle! Didnt realise loads of people didnt turn up... thats pretty frustrating!

Peace.

DIDGE...If you were that keen to go to just jam, you should have put your name down earlier man. we promoted it on here and facebook, but in the essence of this post, it is annoying when people dont turn up, especially when they dont tell you. Ill be honest we have pulled out from a few jams, but we have always told the promoters. People have their valid reasons (hopefully) for not going to things sometimes, and other people..well... we all know.

a bunch of us are actually heading to ill sessions next week, even though its all 'full' on the qualifiers list. I think its just one of those things, people putting their name down for a bit of easy respect. Like the idea of a black list - maybe there should be a section of the forum just for events, might make it easier to do this. what ppl reckon?

although the sign up list is online and at present full any one wishing to compete must register on the day, the online sign up is so we have a rough idea on number, im sure there are people that wont turn up on the day. on the plus side we have had a few people pull out but they have all be kind enough to let us know well in advance. maybe this thread is already working.
