Okay out of a need to help newbies and people moving from city to city to locate training spots and contacts for other bboys and crews about I've started this thread and will be building it up over the coming weeks and months. Im hoping this will succesfull and whilst it will take rather a long time to get everyones info up i will endeavour to collate all of the information and hope this will become a useful tool on the board.

this will consolidate UK Crews and UK Practises into one thread thus making more room on the board.

The idea is to post the following;

At time of writing (2010) the only active b-boy crew in the area are WRECKHEADS KREW.

Crew History. an old school UK b-boy named TIMEBOMB began to teach at a gym called the Pulse Suite in Darlington at the very end of the year 2000. Not many people went to the classes and I was the only person to stick at it. Progress was slow for me with only a couple hours training a week, I didnt realise the amount of training required to get good. Regardless, after a couple of years I began to head out to jams, TIMEBOMB had a young family so I had to do this on my own. Thanks to UKBBOY and people like Flowrex, P, D-rock, Lil Lee, Skam, M-phatic and others I met through UKBBOY I began to travel more to jams and learnt a lot by talking and listening to these people. Jams like Floornography in Hull, Fish Fry in Manchester, Breakin Bread in London, Beat Down in Norwich, and Banana Jam in Reading gave the oppurtunity to dance and learn from the best in the UK. The scene was still fairly small looking back and I miss those days now, everyone knew everyone else. Around this time I started to train in Newcastle with NCK and also met Bad Taste at these sessions, even then you could tell they would go on to great things. These guys were / are legends to me and I learnt a lot from them.

After a few years the Darlington classes moved to the local arts centre, and after that things began to grow, albeit very slowly. After years of just myself and TIMEBOMB, we gained SUSPECT in 2004/05, and with the added exposure in recent years we've added younger members like Greavesy, Justin (sometimes known as the FRESH PRINCE or CAPTAIN FANTASTIC - TIMEBOMB wanted to call him ladyboy but obviously its taken haha) and Chris. We're still deciding on names.

Trocadero Underground

Situated in the basement of Trocadero (which is also connected to PICADILLY CIRCUS underground station), this is a completely open and completely free area to train in, feel free to bring own speakers (recommended), however, there are many other dancers here, all playing their music. So be warned - it may become a contest of the loudest speaker!

Members of crews who train here are too numerous to name, however, it is rare to see whole crews down to train so space wont be a big issue.

There is also a small shop at the end of the walkway called Unit44, which is open on mon-sat 5-11pm, they sell spin/foam hats, armory/biggest baddest tees, knee and elbow pads, drinks, snacks and more

However guys, just need to let you know that that the section which is Trocadero Underground is a public walkway which dancers have been given permission to dance in, so please respect it by leaving your rubbish in neat piles and not kicking randomers in the face while doing airflares ^^"

Other than that, feel free to drop by and jam anytime
