Much Love to Leigh for hooking this up. It was for real one ill jam!
The line-up had some nasty additions and those guests were no joke!

I think it's a shame that most folks didn't come for the Friday. The amount of knowledge and history that was dropped was insane!
And I don't know when or if Trac2 will ever be down again in uk so....
I feel it was deffo something that should have been taken more serious by alotta folks....could've been really benficial to many people....

So yo,,,much love and respect...
Also to Soopa for dropping the B2S....was fresh...

But yo...on another note.

I need everyone/anyones help with something.
My Nike Windrunner had done a disappearing act a few hours ago/earlier in the day.
It seems this happened at B2S...or maybe at the main event
I'm not sure whether it was taxed or taken by mistake....whatever it was...if someone could please help me out here.....
This jacket was real nice to me....but above that it held real sentimental value...
It was Light Grey on the top half and a Black/Greyish on the bottom half...and on the left side there is some artwork flowing upward
How you'll really tell though is that there is a V-cut at the back...that is something signature

Well, this may be a complete waste putting up here....but hopefully one of you out there may be able to help...
If you have any information at all...

Please hit me up....

Really means a lot to me....

Thanks and once again shout out to the jam...

Real good to see this going down in the UK...helps improve the scene/mentalities in many ways...

1Love

Crew winners - Extraordinary Kingz (Mouse, Blanka, Kido, Broox and Wild Willy)
Runners up - Soul Familia

2on2 winners - Rekless Lee and Sunni
Runners up - Mouse and Blanka

Last Man Standing Winner - Emile
Kido took the most rounds, the guy's a warrior

Long day as ever but really enjoyable and you'll struggle to see so many dope guests as that for sometime where they are all easily accessible!! UK needs more panel discussions too when you've got people like Trac2, Ness, Ivan and Dyzee around. Enjoyed hearing Morgan Khan tell his story, a lot of newer heads just dont know how much he influenced the 1st UK generation, we all learned to break with his records.

Loved seeing the concrete cyphers, you had the raw aspect alongside the competition, DJ's were dropping some fat beats, enjoyed seeing the UK step up when they had to, lots of young 'uns in the house which is who we need to inspire, and the judges showcase.........

Was it a bird?? Was it a plane?? Nope, it was Ivan the Urban Action Figure! Didnt see that coming!!

Thanks to Leigh, Dennis and crew for making it happen.

Just recovering from the weekend,
This Welsh Open was for me the best one yet, The Friday workshops with Alien Ness and Trac2 were inspirational. Then The Bank was a perfect venue for a Q&A with a panel that were so willing to pass on their knowledge and like Ness said in another thread it didn't stop their, they all kept answering questions all weekend.

The Bones to the Stones Started the Saturday and I have to thank Soopa Jay for that. It set a level that I hope was maintained all day. I know we had a few technical difficulties with the sound, but it didn't seem to effect the day too much.

The 2 on 2 qualifiers were so much better this year it shows that you've all been working hard since last year. I have to congratulate Lee and Sunni for the Win. having to have a crew qualifier shows that this year more crews are hungry and willing to travel. Thanks go to all who came so far to make it worth the effort that gets put in by so many. Congrats to Extraordinary Kingz on the win.

Then We come to Craig G, Damn!! if you missed it go and see him in on his tour. What a great MC and a very accessible man willing to stop and chat to everyone.

The Last Man Standing, seems to get better every year. This year was intense Kido was incredible and with such stamina definitely the "Knockout King". every one was on fire but as you know the can only be one Last Man Stnding so props to Emile on the victory.

The After Party, Mushroom dropping bombs, hell even Newport moves to the Mushroom Groove. To talk to Gabor , Trac, Ness, Craig G and Dyzee with spectator sports cage fighting

Then onto Sunday, Ivan's workshops looked dope and it was good to see local youngsters getting involved. Dinner at Iffy's wow £3 and they couldn't be more helpful.

I'd like to give props to everyone involved the Hosts Ness, Slammo and Ivan. the Judges Dyzee, Trac2, Rich Roast, Gabor and M-Phatic. The DJ's Dek One, Lu Chi'sz and Floskel. The performers Craig G, Matti, Criminal Minds, Jukebox, UCD, Soul box and Levi. All the Stewards and helpers. Dennis, Jamie, Loren, Fordy and Mushroom.

I'd also like to thank all who came, you make it possible. without the bboys and bgirls there would be no Welsh Open. Thanks also for helping things run almost on time. it helps so much when bboys/bgirls are ready when called.

It was good to meet new face's to the Welsh Open and I hope you can make it back in the future.

I'm going to get some rest now before the rest of the week with Akil, Luis Logic, Stig of the Dump, Charlie Sloth and much more.

Peace
Leigh

Yo nothing to say really as its been said already! Once again mad props to everyone who was involved from the parents, kids, bboys/bgirls, supports down to the staff at the venue who cleaned the toilets. BBOY Wales has really worked its nuts off to build this event to what it is today and believe me when I say its not been easy!

The fact that people still come makes this so worth it so support the scene and help anyone who is trying to make shit happen. Getting big names and raising prize money comes at a personal cost so don't hate just help build.

TRAC 2 spoke so much sense about the concept of jams and attitude towards politics in bboyin and to be honest its simple! Yo don't get caught up in it you just work to master the art form and challenge yourself to become the best you can be.

I know leigh and I have seen the positive impact this has had locally but yo UK we got summin special so lets make every effort to do good things and keep bringing legends over to educate us all.

I'm off to IBE now so see y'all there in the circles!!!!!!!!!

Fucking dope!
Leigh, Dennis and the whole Welsh BBoy crew have made the welsh open an amazing international event.
Welsh open is so rich with international BBoys and crews, and legendary creators of the culture.
As said before in hindsight it's overwhelming to be chatting with Ivan, Trac2, Ness, Oxygen(check out his trac 'Diggin'-pure Hip-Hop) Craig G, but at the time it's natural, because everyone is so grounded and open.
The event also involves local crews & Emcee's whilst covering all the elements of the culture including Graff, (which most 'BBoy' events neglect) and of course having proper breaks dj's for the bboys.
I hear so many people saying that they are going to IBE, WTF- get your arse to the Welsh open and support UK Hip-Hop- then go to IBE.
Many thanks to Leigh for his hospitality and time- You're a Gent.
