we check every request to see if there are multiple entries from the same crew. we've been holding off on updating as the interest has been so high we have had quite a few names to go through. entries usually go through to welshopen@bboywales.com
Psycho Styles are the defending champs and the contact request has nothing to do with 2on2s.
Am sure you can appreciate how much time goes into sorting out events of this scale with other committments so...
Your entry has been noted from the 17th and updates will be made tomorrow with confirmations sent out.
Cheers for the interest and if there are any other concerns we will try to reply to your pm asap

Last Man Standing
Rules
A Maximum of 10 b-boys/b-girls will be invited to enter.
Three judges will decide the winner of the individual battle.
The b-boys/b-girls will stand in an arc facing the crowd.
The champion will call out any other competitor.
The champion cannot call out the same competitor two rounds in a row.
The challenger will throwdown then the champion will throwdown.
The Judges will decide immediately who they consider to have the best throwdown.
On the count of three the judges will point at the winner.
If there is a draw (for example if a Judge does not point at one side or the other) then the Challenger wins.
The winner of the throwdown becomes the champion.
The loser returns to the arc unless he/she has already lost 3 times in which case he/she is out.
If a Challenger does not enter the arena to throwdown immediately (7 Seconds) then he or she is disqualified.
This continues until we have……………………..

Now I don't mean to put a downer on an original competition idea, but if that is the case then it seems to me that the bboy/bgirl who gets picked the least has the most chance of winning, as they will hold on to all or most of their lives.
With up to 10 bboys in the competition you would have to be DOPE as hell and have major stamina to be the champion and knock people off, especially as like you said, someone cannot be picked 2 rounds in a row, so basically you'd have to win at least 5 times to knock out just one person, and there's going to be up to 10 breakers in this.
I know that the name of the competition is 'Last man standing' and so all this seems to make sense, but as I said at the beginning, all this will benefit the bboy/bgirl who gets picked the least, instead of the bboy/bgirl that is the best on the day, because the bboy/bgirl that gets picked the least will save their lives, throwdowns and stamina. I know people might see this contest as a tactical battle then, and it is random because obviously you cannot stop yourself from being picked. But what I'm trying to get at is that every breaking contest is geared towards battling to win, like in a 7tosmoke you need to stay champion and battle to win, therefore you have to be the best bboy, with stamina, enough throwdowns.etc But in the way this contest is structured, the bboy/bgirl who battles the least will most probably win just because they'll still have lives, stamina and throwdown left.etc
I don't mean to put a negative spin on an original idea, and I'm only saying this because I hope to do the 1 on 1. But for me all breaking contests are about the best breaker on the day winning and to win you should need to battle and beat the other contestants to show you are the best on that day. But the best breaker here could win X amount of rounds but with up to 10 breakers to get through its totally impossible to win by staying champion. Again, i wanna repeat the point, I know its called 'LAST MAN STANDING', but if this contest favours the person who battles the least doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of a contest i.e. You show your the best bboy by battling and beating everyone else.
Again, don't mean to put a downer on your idea, but if battling isn't the way to win this contest, is it really a contest?
(Dam, I think that's the longest post I've ever wrote- lol)

Or have less lives each,
or split the ten in half, so have a group of five on each side, then go one on one, the winner goes to the back of the group of five to play again and the loser gets knocked out. So it jus keeps going on rotation of battles. Ending with the last two.
Also jus to clarify, people have to be invited to enter, they can't jus put their name down, am I right with this assumption?
